Sonia's Birthday

Today is Sonia's birthday, as well as her TWIN sister Sandra.
We are all going to eat lunch together to celebrate their birthday so I'll post some of those pictures later.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONIA AND SANDRA !!!!

AKA -- NUNU AND MA

Star player for LSU -- Tyler Covington

Last week I found the cutest jersey's at Target. I bought the LSU jersey and the Saints jersey. He looked so darn cute in his LSU shirt.
Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Sonia are remodeling their home and have been buying all kinds of new stuff for the house. They picked up their new oven, so Philip thought about using the box to make a playhouse for Tyler. He cut a door and a couple of windows out for him to make it more like a real playhouse. Tyler loved it. He would go inside and just start spinning in circles or running in place b/c he was soooo excited. Tyler peaking out the house to see who was knocking on the door -- it was me !!
He would go in and out, in and out, over and over again.
Tyler actually popped a squat so he could watch a little of the LSU football game with us. By the way, LSU kicked Mississippi State's butt !! GO TIGERS !!

UFC Fight Night

Usually once a month we go to some friends house and watch Ultimate Fight Club fighting. It's really neat. I like it but it's a GUY thing so I am told. We all bring something to eat that coordinates with the main dish, which this month was Jaime's awesome lasagna. It was delicious. Philip is a lasagna fanatic and gave it 2 thumbs up. We eat, the kids play, the women hang out in the dining area and the men start watching the fights. It's really a good way for the kids to all get together and play and for us women to just talk and get away from being 'mommy'. We talk about church some and really just enjoy one anothers company. I look forwad to this every month and I wish we could do it more often. Usually Tyler is the only boy out of the 7 or 8 kids but this time Stacey brought her little boy so Tyler followed him around everywhere. Of course Cade, I think was 7 or 8, wasn't the least bit interested in Tyler but Tyler didn't care. Cade was camera shy so I didn't get a snap shot of him.

The moms consist of Desiree, Rochelle, Jaime, myself and Stacey. Dads are Phe, Brandon, Alan, Dean and Jason.

Gatti Land

A few weeks ago we went to Mr. Gatti's with some friends. Wade, Nicole, my family, Crystal and her three children all decided to go to Gatti Land on a Friday evening. What were we thinking?? It was a wild scene needless to say. Kids were running & screaming like wild banchies(Pardon my spelling, I have never had to spell banchie before). Wade was teasing Tyler the whole time & trying to make him eat weird pizza's, which Tyler would just spit right back at him. Tyler LOVES Wade to no end. Tyler is so shy and it has always amazed me how he will go right to Wade and just hug and love on him. Wade is just soo lovable, I guess... hehe. After dinner we ventured off into play land. The running and screaming was at a high by this point. Tyler rode the motor bike and did some racing with his daddy. Look how serious Tyler looked while racing with Philip. We had a great time.

Hot Air Balloons

This is my favorite Event of the year. I have adored hot air balloons since I was a child. Growing up, they would land on our property in Baton Rouge and our entire family would have this huge cook out and the pilots & crew would land and come eat with us. We always had soo much fun!! Now the balloons land at the Pennington Center and have a big celebration which allows the community to join in on all the fun. I have been coming to this show for the last 3 years but Philip has never been able to join me. Tyler was an infant last year so he just sat in my lap and slept. I have always looked forward to the day where I could bring my family and let them share these experiences. I invited Joe & Robin to come along with us. They really didn't know what to expect so I was very pleased that they had a good time. We all had a great time. We ate at Chick-Fil-A before hand so we wouldn't spend so much money at the balloon show. Then we headed on over to the Balloon Show.

Philip, Tyler, Kaiden & Joe watching the strawberry balloon blow itself up. Kaiden was especially curious about it. He would touch the material then turn and look at Joe with this big ole smile. Kaiden & Tyler were running around like wild things. They were so hot and sweaty, but they had the best time.
Robin took this picture of us during the fireworks display. They were beautiful. What surprised me the most was the loud noise didn't bother any of the kids.We convinced a passerby to take a group photo. I am so glad that the Deschamps family joined us. I couldn't have had a better time. Friends and family are so important. I just love them so much and I am so glad that they moved back to Louisiana.
We were all wiped out and I think all the kids crashed as soon as we turned the vehicle on.

Just a few more random shots from the balloon championship.

Dustin's New Ride

Dustin FINALLY got a newer vehicle - and it's a JEEP at that. It's so nice. Tyler pretended to drive it for a while and got all mad at me when I made him get out. I only made him get out b/c Philip & Dustin wanted to go cruising for awhile. Philip enjoyed just hanging out with Dustin, they don't to do much of that these days. Anyhow, now Philip has the Jeep bug again. BOYS!!

One Sweaty Little Boy

Tyler & I were playing in the yard and he was sweating like a pig.. I would make him drink water so he would stay hydrated but it was only a sip here and there. He finally needed to take a break so he went and found some shade by our shop. This one I love b/c as you can see Tyler's name is not on the concrete ramp and I just thought this could be a way to add him into the name list. By the way, Bessie and Daisy are our dogs.

Update on daycare

Well, Tyler did okay today at daycare as far as behavior is concerned but nap time was not too good. He screamed the entire time and only slept for about 30 minutes - maybe not even that long. We didn't do much of anything this weekend. Tyler & I hung out while Philip was at work. I will post a video of Tyler goofing off later today.
